US Center for Chinese Medicine by BUCM is located in Rockville, Maryland. It is now ready to accept patients after active preparation. It will formerly open on Sep. 27, 2017. There are eight consulting rooms in the Clinic where patients may receive acupuncture therapy, Tuina-massage, herbal medicinal treatment and health consultation. Besides, the Clinic will offer free charge service on a volunteer basis. Licensed acupuncture specialists come from BUCM and other Chinese TCM universities serving in the Center. They have accumulated rich experience in this field in their long-term practice. Other top-grade doctors of traditional Chinese medicine or integrated medicine come from China or the USA. They will offer one-stop service based on the concept of patient-orientation and evidence medicine as well as humanistic care to relieve patients’ sufferings.
The Clinic has established ties with famous institutions of Western medicine, engaging in treatment of pains, insomnia, eczema, allergic rhinitis, common cold, digestive disorders, herpes zoster, sequalae of cerebrovascular and spinal cord injury , infertility , side effect after chemotherapy , depression etc.
In addition, the Center will take responsibilities for clinical observation and internship. It is planned to engage senior US acupuncturists in association with specialists of BUCM to set up a telemedicine platform for consultation of difficult and complex cases.
The opening of the Clinic will put up a bridge for medical exchange between China and America, and promote training of more outstanding TCM clinical staff of both countries.
