MUSEUM OF CHINESE MEDICINE

The museum of Chinese Medicine has been opened to public since December 2016. It’s a professional museum with rich collections and systematic contents, including four parts, i.e. Basic Knowledge of Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medicine Hall, Chinese Medicine Therapy and Promotion and Achievements of Chinese Medicine, and covers an exhibition area of 500 square meters.
The exhibition of the museum always revolves the thinking mode of Chinese medicine. All contents are used to elaborate the thinking of Chinese medicine with concrete examples, with the exhibition core of "overall view", "functional view" and "movement view". The museum is open to the public, aims to promote and popularize of Chinese medicine knowledge, meanwhile mainly serve the Chinese and foreign exchange of Chinese medicine, clinical training and research. The museum will also organize scientific lectures, hand-made of health care products etc., and use the museum's resources for all around social services.
Basic Knowledge of Chinese Medicine mainly introduces the knowledge of life,the human body (viscera and meridians), diseases and the treatment and precaution of diseases.
Chinese Medicine Hall mainly introduces the four properties and five tastes of Chinese medicine, processing, genuine medicinal materials, Chinese medicine resources and old pharmacy, etc.
Chinese Medicine Therapy mainly introduces Chinese medicine, Chinese patent medicine (dosage form and preparation of Chinese patent medicine), acupuncture, manipulation, qigong and five mimic-animal exercise
Promotion and Achievements of Chinese medicine mainly introduce SARS, Liu Hairuo, Tu Youyou and employment status of Chinese medicine.

Visiting Notice
1.The museum is open to the students in the center and the public for free throughout the year.
2.Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8:30 -16:30. (Closed on national holidays)
3.Reservation is required for a group (more than 5 people) to visit, Tel: 240-403-7946.
4.Reservation is required for free tour guide services.
5.Please protect public facilities; please do not touch the exhibits, climb and lie-down or make a racket.
6.Please maintain the environmental hygiene; no littering, no smoking, no food or drink inside of the museum.
7.Please keep in order while visiting and obey the on-site guidance and command of the museum staff.
8.Please follow the arrangement of the museum in case of major events or temporary activities.
